Killdeer

I've always liked Killdeer after seeing their "broken wing trick" and almost stepping on a nest. 
Here's a little bit about the life of these birds: 
They are named Killdeer after the "killdeer" sound that they make. They mostly eat insects. They are mostly brown in color on top with some black and white stripes and a reddish-orange circle around their eye, although they are completely white underneath. They belong in the family of plovers. Their *nests* are a hollowed out half-sphere in the ground. Their eggs blend in extremely well to their surroundings.
