Today we went to Webber Park, MN.
A friend told us about a Great Blue Heron nesting site, and so we went to check it out.
After a ten minute walk, we arrived at a place along the Mississippi river where there is a small island. On the island, there are some cottonwood trees. In the cottonwood trees were Great Blue Heron nest. Like 100 or more. In every one was a heron. There were the male herons continually flying into the nests with sticks and food. I could have stayed there for hours. Sadly we only stayed for a half-hour.
I love this park(well, not the park but the herons :) )!!!
