I Love the Bald eagle! We have one that lives in our area, and I could watch him glide effortlessly for hours on end! Here is a link to some Google Image pictures.
In down-town Saint Paul there's a raptor center that takes birds that can't survive, due to injuries or treatment, and works on them, and releases them back to the wild (see http://www.raptorcenter.org/). They have several birds that are permanently damaged and couldn't survive in the wild. One is an older Bald eagle that I could spend hours looking at. It's gaze is almost hypnotizing! I love how their eyes seem to pierce you through! I love this beautiful bird!
Isn't it amazing to watch such a majestic bird? We don't have any eagles in our area, but we have some red-tailed hawks that are beautiful, too.
